Collaborative Science Project

The Collaborative Science Project is a compulsory, collaborative and inter-disciplinary activity, which encourages IB Diploma Programme science students to appreciate the implications of science through practice-based learning . It is also one of the most exciting weeks for first-year students. In a nutshell, every students from the three science subjects (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) get together in groups and work under a research topic related to science. They then choose the relevant theory and test it through experiments under the supervision of science teachers. All the teachers at the science department are involved in the Group 4 Project as supervisors. After the experimental sessions have ended, the groups would conduct presentations of their projects and present the final results they achieved. This is a valuable learning experience as we can learn through observing different approaches to the same problem.
